AHA vs. HSI: What’s the Difference?
Both American Heart Association (AHA) and Health & Safety Institute (HSI) provide nationally recognized CPR, AED, and First Aid training. The biggest difference is often what your employer, school, healthcare program, or licensing agency requires.
AHA is commonly requested by healthcare organizations, nursing and medical programs, and employers with specific AHA requirements. HSI provides a nationally recognized alternative that is widely accepted by employers and organizations and can be a great option when AHA is not specifically required.
Not sure which one you need? Check your employer or school requirements—or ask us before registering. We’ll help you choose the certification that fits your situation.
